New set of nails!

Today was the first day that I actually went and got my nails done! Yes, I know i'm rather a little old at twenty eight to have never had this done before, but I guess better late than never! I always used to do my own with the stick on ones that you get from Boots. Then once I had my little boy there was no time to do this luxury anymore!
So off I went to the nail salon in my local town, called Krystle Nails. Quite a few girls from work get their nails done there and always say how lovely the staff are and how good the actual nails are.
As I entered the salon the smell was rather strong of all the different nail products used, it was quite overwhelming! Having taken a seat it wasn't long until I got to sit in the chair and explain what I would like done! As I bite my nails (gross I know, but have done since I was little, think it usually happens when I'm stressed or nervous) I literally have the smallest nails ever! No joke! My two year old has longer nails than me! My nail beds are also rather small so they don't have any length to them!
Anyway, back to the job in hand, the owners of the salon are a married couple and I got the husband, who was quite surprised at how small my nails were, what he usually uses on peoples little fingers were used on all my fingers! I decided to go for short nails as I wanted to be able to get on well with them, and felt if they were too long I would struggle with day to day tasks!
After lots of chit chat and deciding I wanted short, rounded barbie pink nails here are the results!

You can't see too great in the picture but four of my nails are fuchsia pink and my engagement ring finger is a fuchsia pink but in glitter. I think next time I will get pastel colours and maybe go for a square shape to try something different!

Hope you liked this post!

A New York Trip Intro

I have been a little, well a lot occupied these past two weeks due to the fact that me and my partner Leigh went to New York! Yeah you read it correctly, New York! I know exciting right!
The week leading up to going was so busy as my mum and dad were taking my little boy to Majorca for the same week so having to work and get him all sorted as well as my own stuff was a little hectic. Needless to say that once we were in New York it was the trip of a lifetime!
New York was definitely on my "bucket list", and I couldn't of been more thrilled when we had finally booked the trip away! I always wanted to go not only for the shopping elements but the sightseeing and the general way of life out there and of course how it appears on the tv.
This is only a short intro into letting you know what I have been up to as I haven't been posting much, so be prepared for a lot of posts on New York, as to say i'm now obsessed with New York would be an understatement!

Thats all for now!

A very nosey beauty tag!

Another day another set of questions, but this time from the lovely sisters over at howlovely01.blogspot.com , they have tagged me to answer their beauty questions.

So here goes....

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners and lip products or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
This one is easy for me, as I actually don't wear eye shadows so don't actually own any! Crazy I know! It's just I never know which colours suit me and wouldn't no where to start with applying it!

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I actually dread having my hair cut even at my age! So for me it would have to be to never have it cut again.

If you had $500, would you spend this on clothes or makeup?
I'm more of a clothes lover and $500 on clothes would be lovely, over makeup any day!

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
As I have previously said, I don't wear eye shadow, so I would pick just one eye shadow for the rest of my life as I do like wearing different shades of pink lipsticks.

Bright nails or nude nails all year round?
Bright nails all year round, I love a bright pink, even in winter!

Would you rather never be able to use lipgloss or paint your nails again?
Lipgloss can be so annoying at times, especially if you get a really sticky one and your hair just sticks to your mouth, this wouldn't bother me if I couldn't use it ever again!

Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one?
The mascara I'm currently using at the moment is No7 Lash Impact Intense Volume Control in black. I really like the way it separates my lashes and that I don't have to use layer upon layer of mascara.

Whats you ideal coverage foundation?
Light to medium coverage, but I usually get to carried away when applying!

Favourite high street/drugstore beauty brand?
No7 is by far my favourite brand as the products are great and are really affordable.

Favourite high end beauty brand?
YSL Touche Eclat is an always must for the bags under my eyes!

Is there any makeup you can't leave the house without wearing?
All of it! I'm constantly in full makeup all the time, in the summer months I do try to tone it down and wear less but who am I trying to kid, I love wearing it all!

What is your most cherished beauty product?
My most cherished beauty product is Maxfactor's lipstick in Angel Pink! I hate how red my lips are so they are always coated in pink to match my girly look!

What skin type do you have?
 Normal skin.

Do you always use the same skin routine or do you like switching it up?
I always use my same skin routine as I figure it's not broke so why fix it!

If you could only buy one makeup brand forever which one would you buy?
I would continue buying No7, as its great value for money and they have a wide range of products that I use in my daily routine and keep in my makeup bag!

Which brand has your favourite packaging?
I do like the style of Benefit cosmetics as they are so girly and quirky, but I do love the simpleness of No7 in my makeup bag.

Which do you apply first, concealer or foundation?
I always apply foundation first and then apply concealer where needed!

Name a makeup crime you hate!
I hate drawn on eyebrows! Some ladies can do it great but loads get it wrong!

QUICK FIRE!!!!

Blush or bronzer?
 Bronzer

Lipgloss or lipstick?
 Lipstick

Foundation or concealer?
 Foundation

Brushes or sponges?
 Sponge

OPI or Essie?
 OPI

Lotion or body butter?
 Body butter

Well thats all the questions completed! Hope you enjoyed reading my answers! Was quite crazy how similar some of my answers are to the ladies over at howlovely01.blogspot.com ! I would like to tag anyone who would like to use this beauty tag on their blog, and let me know if you do, as it's interesting to see what other people use!

Futurocks charges ahead!

If your a reader of my blog it's no surprise that I love the company over at Futurocks! Their phone accessories are so on point this year that everyone should have part of their collection in their bags!
I was recently contacted to see if I would mind sharing with you guys about the power banks that they currently sell on the website! The one I'm reviewing today starts at as little as £9.99! So what is a power bank I hear you say?! Well a power bank is a small handbag friendly device that allows you to charge your phone whilst out and about! We have all had those situations when we have wanted to take a picture or stay on the phone for that bit longer, when Bang! The phone looses charge! This can be so frustrating at the best of times! However this no longer needs to be the case when the guys over at Futurocks have a device that solves all your problems!
Now here comes the geeky bit! The powerbank has a powerful 2600 mAh external back up battery! (That's a lot of umph)! It is designed for the iPhone, iPod or any other USB devices, so even if you aren't in the iPhone club it can still charge your device due to the USB cable link! The device is very lightweight with it being just over 50g! (Less than some chocolate bars)! And better still comes in eight stylish colours with a year guarantee! I choose this lovely black one and as soon as it arrived my partner was like "oooh I can have that for work!" Urgh how about we don't share!

I'm so pleased with my new addition to my ever growing phone accessories, especially this one as it's so useful and handy to have with me! I really like the design and colours available as it's not just a product for the ladies but the men as well! They are perfect gifts at such a great prices that everyone should have one! So go out and treat your partner today! I know I will otherwise mine may mysteriously go missing!
A great product that I can't recommend enough to you guys! I literally give the mini power bank a five star rating! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hope you enjoyed this post!
Let me know your thoughts!

Ps I never received any payment for this review just the product itself!

Spending to break the bank account Topshop style

Its no shock that I love to spend! In fact I quite possibly may have a slight issue! I don't think an actual day passes me by that I haven't spent any money! And what's worse is since I decided to blog at the start of the year my spending habit has grown! I'm constantly thinking oh that would be great to feature in my blog or oh I need that as it's the latest trend! This is making a serious dent in my account and a serious mess in my bedroom!
Anyhow, my recent splurge has been in the wonderful Topshop! Yes Topshop! Not the most cheapest of places but I just can't seem to help myself in there at the moment! Their collections at the moment are so great that I actually blame  them for making me spend! (Crazy huh)!
So here are my latest purchases!

This gorgeous floral shirt is £38, which may seem a little steep for a shirt, but with the pattern and style it can literally see me through the seasons, as in winter it will look so cute with a jumper over the top or styled with some skinnies and knee high boots. For now I'm going to be teaming it with my new Jamie jeans which brings me onto my next purchase.

Ripped jeans are a massive trend this season, from overly ripped to just ripped at the knees and I'm definitely a fan. The Jamie range at Topshop are super stretch jeans that are high waisted, so great for keeping those tums well and truely hidden, which is why I particularly like this style. It also means I can wear the crop top trend without actually showing any skin as they are high waisted. These jeans are £40!

The weather still hasn't made it's mind up in this town, whether it wants to be sunny or not. I think in the past month we have had two days of actual sunny warm days and the rest have been dull and dreary. Topshop have had these jumpers in now for a few months, and I have been looking at this one for a while so finally caved in and purchased it. I really like the fit on the body, not to keen on how tight the arms are, and trust me my arms are the smallest part left on me, but the jumper is so beautiful especially with the detailing on the shoulders with the studds and pearls. This I will team with my Jamie jeans and my pale blue full skirt which I have featured in a previous post.

I love a peplum top! I love how it balances my top half out and flares out, to make my thighs appear smaller. To me peplums are a great shape and a great way to dress an outfit up! This top is a complete bargain at only £22, and with it being monochrome and floral how will it ever go out of trend? A great stylish and simple top to pair with some black skinny jeans, and then I would add a bright shoe to add a pop of colour to my outfit!

Now these two items I have teamed together as I purchased them specifically to wear together. The shirt has come out a little bit too pink in the picture where its actually more orangey in colour! The full skirt is a peach colour and I love this trend of wearing a full skirt and tucking in a top into the waistband to create a great silhouette! The shirt was £24 and the skirt was £45.  This look is very Carrie Bradshaw and I cant wait to wear it!

The heartbreaker sandal, a classic yet simple sandal that deserves to be loved by all. I have never been a fan of white shoes/sandals but even I have to admit that sometimes an outfit, especially a summer one, needs a white sandal to complete the look. When I saw these in Topshop I literally couldn't put them down, well in all fairness they were the last size five, but their beauty was really shouting out to me that I needed them in my life. What was more shocking was the fact that they only cost £28! A great piece from the Topshop collection!

Ok, so after my earlier statement of not liking white shoes/sandals, it may seem rather strange to have purchased a second pair!? I just sometimes can't control the urge of needing to spend, and I have seen so many similar pairs of these gladiator style shoe/sandal in all the magazines and on other bloggers that I felt these too belonged with me! What I also love about these, is that I can now wear the frilly sock trend with them, which I have been dying to do for like forever!!! The Florence Gladiator sandal are selling in Topshop for £30.

So I had the sandals, now I just needed the socks right? These three came on the offer of three for £8! I have gone for pretty neutral colours to suit the sandals and to match outfits easier!

I hope you liked my purchases, let me know what you think?
What have you been buying recently?

Make up splurge....

I have been a little bit m.i.a this week, not for any particular reason, the usual work, housework and a crazy toddler can just be enough for anyone to be kept on their toes, but that hasn't stopped me spending, hence a post! As so many of you like my pictures on Instagram and leave me nice comments I thought I would share some of my make up essentials that I really cant live without. Don't get me wrong I'm no make up expert, and some of the things I do may make some make up artists cringe but hey ho!
I go to Boots or Debenhams every so often, usually change of season, and have my make up done on one of the little counters. I do this as I love the fact they give you tips and advice and often free samples with your purchases! At the moment I'm loving No7 by Boots, and have done for the past year since I had used the Match Made Service! However I must note that when the advert for this came on the tv my partner asked why I hadn't tried it as it looked good, and I replied that I already had and that's what I use, to which he replied, "why are you so orange then?" once he stopped laughing! Anyway here's my make up purchases....

Some of these purchases I have reviewed on an older post.
Boots had 3 for 2 on my shopping trip so I couldnt resist!!!

First off I use this foundation called Stay Perfect in cool vanilla. I really love the colour of the foundation and the texture of it when I apply it. A pea size amount does go a long way, and maybe sometimes I forget this when applying in the morning, ( as my boyfriend likes to point out). What I also like about the Stay Perfect foundation is that I don't have to re-apply during the day as the finish really does "stay perfect".

Next up is the Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, I have recently reviewed this in an earlier post, but as I needed some more, I just wanted to let you know that I having been using this everyday and it does make a difference! Not a lot is needed, as if you put too much on, your nose can become a greasy mess and then your foundation goes a little crazy! I do love the texture of this, and unlike others its doesn't have a glittery shine to it.

I love nothing better than a pink Barbie lipstick. My lips are a real deep red which I absolutely hate, so I use this Maxfactor one in Angel Pink, and love the matte look finish it gives! It has reasonable staying power, but not great after eating so re-applying is definitely needed.

Now this L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream I haven't actually used yet, but I have read so many great things about this that I couldn't wait to purchase it! My mum purchased it and said it felt so nice and smooth on her skin and gives a lovely glow.

This is going to be a crazy statement, but until I started blogging I never knew that a make up brush cleaner even existed, I would literally buy new brushes all the time, and as you can imagine that got very expensive! I personally prefer a brush to apply make up than to use my fingers as I feel it blends better.
After reading several blog posts on "how to keep your brushes clean", many bloggers do make their own brush cleaners but for the first go I picked up this make up cleaner for £8, which I know many of you will be screaming that's crazy money to spend when you can make the cleaner for much cheaper. However, like I said I wanted to use a product to see how well it worked and if I felt it made any difference to my brushes. Applying a little cleaner to my first brush I couldn't believe how much product came off straight away, as you can see my brushes were pretty filthy. Once both had a great thorough clean I decided to use a trouser hanger to give the brushes a rest, and so the stems wouldn't rot through the water seeping down into them. I have to admit I'm very pleased with the outcome and now my bank balance will also be very happy with not having to buy so many brushes all the time!

No7 Instant Radiance Concealer. I started using this concealer a few months back when I noticed my dark circles underneath my eyes and it has now become part of my everyday routine! A really great concealer  that makes my eyes look brighter even when they need sleep!

This is No7 newest mascara, Lash Impact. It claims to "turn up the volume for dramatic looking lashes with maximum impact and clump free layers". What I liked first about the mascara is the case it came in, it's so pretty and really stands out compared to other No7 make up.The brush is one I prefer as I tend to find the rubber brushes too harsh on my eyelashes, leaving them sore to touch. The mascara is one of my new faves at the moment as its doesn't clump and I personally felt my lashes looked thicker and fuller so it gets a recommendation thumbs up from me!

Other items I got were the Real Technique brushes, which I have previously reviewed and also every beauty blogger has reviewed and recommended them. The blonde hair grips, which I use every day to keep my quiff in place, are an item that I can't live without, but seem to go through and loose a million per week!
The serum I got given free as these were just samples that I still need to try out to see if I want to add it to my daily routine.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my new make up purchases!

A Blingy Call....

As you have probably noticed I have a new found love for phone cases. I have literally gone from plain boring see through cases to now a Chanel inspired perfume bottle that I cant live without. After receiving numerous compliments on my phone case on its very first outing, I felt it necessary to just check out Futurocks website ( www.futurocks.com ) and see what other cases I could purchase! I had already seen other bloggers pictures on Instagram with the blingy Chanel perfume phone case and knew I had to make it mine! My friend had already asked me to order her the clear Chanel perfume case and a mini power pack, so already my basket was filling up! I then came across this beaut of a phone case, the Moschino McDonalds inspired one! So excited! There has been much hype since the legendary Jeremy Scott worked his magic and here I was looking at the exact replica at a fraction of the price! Its one of those cases where you either love it or hate it! And I seriously love it! No questions!
I love my new phone cases so much and cannot recommend this company enough, and no I'm not being paid for the post, its a privilege to be sharing with you a company that honestly delivers great products at great prices, who are really helpful if you are unsure of anything! The delivery is free and super speedy! So what are you waiting for? Go check out www.futurocks.com now and give your phone a personality to match yours!!!!

Hope you like my new purchases!
