Fanatic About Hats

It's come round to that time of year again, where outfits are becoming smaller, bags becoming larger and hats are back in force! Fashion is at its peak with online retailers competing with the highstreet to bring you the latest trends with the coolest styles at fabulous prices! Social media is playing a massive part in our day to day lives in how we view these trends and see our favourite celebrities wearing them! At the touch of your fingertips you can now shop their outfit choices like never before!
One particular trend that comes into fashion every summer is sports luxe. Now for some this can be a scary trend, unknowing how to create the perfect look for daytime without looking like you are heading to the gym!

I was inspired by Fanatics to create the perfect "Sports Luxe" look featuring some of their hats from the webpage! Browsing through the multiple choices I settled on a Nike New York Yankees Dri-Fit Classic Adjustable Performance Hat in blue. The reason for this is I like the shape of the hat with it having a curved peak and in all fairness I love New York!

Heres the fun part, the styling of the outfit!

This first look, is a classic bloggers every day look which I would personally wear. I love the simplicity of a casual tshirt dress teamed with the very popular Stan Smith trainers and the use of a gold double chain necklace to give an edgier look.
Taking inspiration from the much publicised Kim Kardashian West is this second look I created with the choice of double denim and a sportier trainer to show a dressed down look.
The last of my outfits is a mix of "Sports Luxe"and "Nautical" in this stripe piece! This is the most "dressed" up look of the three as I chose Tory Burch pumps to finish the look!

I have chosen three very different outfits as I wanted to show how versatile a baseball cap can be!
And if my outfit choices aren't convincing enough then maybe these celebrities can persuade you further into this trend!

Who said a baseball cap couldn't be hot?

Fashion Findings.....

Do you ever have one of those shopping trips where you aren't really looking for anything in particular but end up spending most of your money in that one shop?  Well this happened to me, a few days ago in H&M. Now I don't know about you, but H&M is one of those stores where I really have to be in the mood for a good rummage. The rails are always merchandised with, for me, a few too many lines, so it's never easy to see the clothes as you always have to pull at them. I much prefer the ease of one item to a bar so I know exactly what I'm getting!
However when I visited the H&M store in Leicester I had no problem in picking up loads to try on! For me H&M at the minute are so on point with trends, its probably some of the best collections I've seen them do! The price points are great as well, as you don't have to break the bank account in there to get a full outfit! Heres what I purchased on my visit.........

Im bit of an obsessive fan of khaki right now, and this maxi style dress is no exception! The dress cost me £29.99, which I think is really good for the quality of the material. It has a sheer fabric overlay with a cotton slip underneath so that it isn't see through. The different layers at the hem of the dress is really flattering against my legs, as I'm not very tall, so anything either too short or too long can look totally wrong on me! I also like breast pockets to give it a military vibe and the waistline is perfect, especially for those with wider hips. I can't wait to team this with some gladiator sandals and layers of statement gold jewellery for the ultimate summer look!

Now this may look like an ordinary cami, but its on a whole new level! With thin spaghetti straps, a deep v neckline and a layered hem this truly is a perfect top! Its shorter than my usual cami tops, I would say its actually rather cropped, which is a look I never go for, but team it with my high waisted ripped Jamie Jeans from Topshop then all of a sudden I have a hot outfit on my hands! The best thing about this top is the price! Its a steal at only £9.99!

Ok this print is pretty out there, and dare I say it, but maybe a little "mumsy". You really have to trust me on this when I say it looks amazing on. I mean A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!! The waist gets cinched in just at the right place to make you look tiny, the v-neckline gives you a cleavage and the hem is once again different lengths so is very flattering! If that hasn't sold you already then the price tag will, as its a bargain at £14.99! I know crazy right! Thats cheaper than Primark!

A stripe t-shirt is a must in any wardrobe. Why? Its simple, versatile and very classic! When you look on Pinterest/Instagram/Blogger you will see a stripe tee in most peoples outfit of the day as they are so easy to wear all year round. From doing the monochrome stripes to the nautical look, it really is a great look to freshen up an outfit. Now wait for the price, yep you guessed it another great bargain, this time its as little as £7.99!

Last of my purchases was this smock style dress for £19.99. Im forever wearing dresses as I find them easy to wear, style and most importantly very comfortable. I really liked the rust orange colour on this dress along with the geo style print! Its perfect for the transitional months and I can wear it again in the autumn with opaque tights and ankle boots!

Hope you like my picks!
Let me know what you have been buying from H&M recently!

A Birthday Post!

Yay it's my birthday!!! Therefor it's only right I do an outfit post to match for you lovelies!!!! It's been quite a while since I have done one of these so what better day than my birthday to do one!
With it not being the brightest of days I decided to wear my new smock dress from H&M  which has this cute grid style 70's print on it. I teamed it with my trusty little black suede ankle boots, a cool black hat and my Zara bag.
          Heres the result.....

Dress H&M
Hat Next
Boots Next
Bag Zara

This dress is so easy to wear as its comfortable and a great length! Even when it gets warmer I can take off the opaque tights and boots and team it with some gold gladiators for a cool evening look!

With my outfit sorted I headed off to Milton Keynes for a spot of lunch with my boyfriend at Wagamamas and did a little shopping before coming back home and having another meal with my family.

I truly had a great birthday and would just like to say thank you for all you messages via twitter and instagram!

Have you made a statement recently?

In fashion terms, a statement is "an expression of an attitude or belief that is made by means of actions or appearance."

So when was the last time your outfit actually made a statement?

The weather has been rather cold and dull making it too easy to slip into warm and comfy casuals rather than stepping out with a spring in your step! However this is all about to change when I recently discovered a Facebook page selling beautiful statement necklaces called Make A Statement.
The gorgeous pieces differ in price but start from as little as seven pounds!!! If you want a bright and vibrant piece, they have it, or if you prefer pretty pastels they also stock it! With Mothers Day coming up this weekend, why not get someone a special little extra to brighten up their outfit/day!

Here's some of my fave picks from their page....

Midnight Rose
I chose this necklace to be featured as I love the blue tones in the roses and the black ribbon adds a touch of glamour.

The Audrey
Pearls have been in my jewellery collection for years. I love the richness they can add to a tea dress and for me this is a classic necklace with the pearls, black and gold they just make a great combination!

Tropicana
This necklace screams summer holiday!!!! What a great price! The bright rainbow colours mean it can be worn with any colour top! Perfect to pack in your suitcase for your holiday!

Daisy Dream
The "Daisy Dream" necklace is a dream! With the warmer months coming up, this would be great to wear to a festival with your flowing locks and mini denim shorts!

Amber
A perfect mix of colour and pearls! I really like this necklace and how it can be worn quite high on the neckline.

As you can see there is literally something for every taste! Now the exciting bit......
I was lucky enough to be sent these two gorgeous necklaces to show to you lovely readers!

Im soooo in love with these pieces as they will compliment my style perfectly! Keep your eyes peeled for when I will feature them on outfit posts over on instagram!

Don't forget to check out Make A Statement over at Facebook and Instagram by clicking on the links!!!

Make your statement and pick Make A Statement!

Have a great day!

Primark Buys

Now its been quite a while since I have showed you lovely readers what I having been buying recently, and as the other day I went into Primark and like most girls filled my basket up and rather quickly, I thought it would be a perfect post for me to share with you guys what I'm loving in there at the moment!!!!
First off, prints are everywhere at the moment. From big flowers to vivd prints, Primark is using inspiration direct from the catwalk with its bold colours that will take you through to the warmer months! And as always the price point is fabulously cheap so its no wonder you never walk out of there empty handed!!
       Here are my great buys!

At only £13 this dress is ideal for the transitioning months! Everywhere on the hughstreet at the moment is the colour khaki, but I like how this is a brighter shade, so it makes the dress appear warmer. The light cotton feel of the dress is ideal for those busy days where you are constantly on the move, but can be teamed with some opaque tights for the chillier days.

Another £13 dress which I love! I always pick blue dresses, because of my blonde hair its an easy colour for me to wear. Im 5ft4 so the length on this dress is just above my knee and will look perfect with some ankle boots and a little jacket!

Thirteen pounds is clearly a favoured price point with this bold dress also being priced at that. I like how the neckline is rounder showing more of the collar bone off and with the sleeves having a frill so it hides the dreaded bingo wings! Haha!

As you have now probably guessed I have a slight dress obsession! In the spring I love how nautical always comes back into fashion, as navy red and white always look so classy for an everyday look, but I really liked the twist on this dress with it having the yellow stripe rather than the typical red! What I also think is great about this dress is that River Island have similar dresses, (same material and shape), but for more than double the price, so if you're like me and like to buy every week then it makes sense to shop around! This dress is also £13!

A new trend of bags is every where at the moment, and one of those trends is small boxy shape bags with metal detailing at the corners! I love the mix of baby blue and gold tones on this particular style, and for £8 its a steal!!!
The bear cosmetic bag was also a great buy at only £3!

Hope you enjoyed my buys!!!

Fabulous Designs

Mika does it again!

We all love the highstreet, but what I really love is when you find a unique designer that puts her heart and soul in to every piece! It's not mass produced, so when you purchase a piece you know you are getting something very special that not all your friends will have!

A fabulous new collection has been added to Mika's ever growing website over at www.mmcjewelry.com . From gorgeous sparkles and pearls to a mix of studs, this collection is Mikas best yet! What is it that I love about Mika's collection? It's simple really. The style and glamour of each piece that can transform an outfit from day to night!

Heres some of my favourite pieces!!!!!

Mari-Belle Necklace
$49.00

Silver & Blush Statement Necklace
 $45.00
 Italic Love Necklace
$160.00

Moi Ring $52.00

(Please note I have put the prices in dollars as seen on the website, due to exchange rates forever changing, and I would not want to give incorrect information!).

I love the mix of the prettiness of the pearls and stones with the sharpness of the studs! A truly great combination!!!

However its not just me loving Mikas range, she is starting to finally get the recognition she deserves with her line being worn in the spotlight on celebrity hosts Abbi Crutchfield and Shireen Sandoval!

This truly is a great start to the year for the collection! So don't delay in heading over to her website here and grabbing yourself a truly individual piece!

Clothes Show Live 2014

This post is rather late, but thought I would still share my amazing day out, as last year was the best Clothes Show I had ever been too!

Sunday the 7th of December couldn't come soon enough! As soon as tickets were released this year for The Clothes Show, I made sure to snap them up pretty quick! I paid the extra to have the platinum tickets, which meant an extra cool goodie bag and front row seats to the catwalk show! Having had a few shopping days beforehand, (day in milton keynes and the day before the Clothes Show shopping in London), it was rather a busy weekend for me!
Arriving rather later than expected, due to the M6 closure, we made it just in time for the 3pm catwalk show, and what a show it was! Presented by Rick Edwards and vlogger Jim Chapman with a performance from Xfactor finalists Stereokicks! Who were, which I may add, AMAZING!!!!! They can really sing live really well!!!

The catwalk show had a fabulous theme, with New York being the back drops, and each change of clothes came with a different scene from New York. From Central Park, to the Meat Packing District to the iconic Studio 54, the models dressed perfectly and strutted their way confidently down the catwalk.

Once the show was over, we headed out to do some serious shopping for the last two hours, to make up for time we had missed! Now as I'm a massive fan of most reality tv, I was rather excited when one of the first stalls we came across was InTheStyleUk and Charlotte Crosby from Geordie Shore was there having pictures with her many adorning fans! The queue was a good few hundred each, so instead of waiting for an hour or two I got her bodyguard to get a quick sneaky pic of her!

Then wandering around the stalls, which as it was late in the afternoon, it was rather quiet compared to the normal hectic hustle and bustle of the Clothes Show. We came across Binky London with Binky sitting there having her picture taken with her fans and signing autographs if you purchased some of her products! As there wasn't much of a queue, I quickly choose three items as they were on offer for $5 and then got to have my picture taken with her!

 Little bit of chit chat!!!

And pose!

We then spent some time over at the Coca Cola stand putting our own stamp on one of their Diet Coke bottles to make them look more glamourous!

With all that fizzy pop, we then thought it would be fun to sit and have our teeth whitened! And of course they were on a two for one offer, so sitting with our gums on show didn't seem to bad after all!!!!!

I don't know if my teeth were whiter after the treatment but they definately felt a lot cleaner after the fifteen minutes!

Heres some of the other bits I got on the day!!!

I really enjoy going to the Clothes Show every year, but my bank account never feels that way!!!! I love meeting all the reality stars and getting loads of branded beauty goods at a fraction of the price!!!

Hope you enjoyed the read!!!
