Next Level Technology

                                                                              Hits The Industry

Over the past twenty years technology has taken over our lives. From the very first IBM pc for home users to todays multiple options to reach the world wide web via phones, laptops, tablets and even watches. Fashion has never been more accessible, it really is just a click away. You can find through multiple search engines the latest trends from the catwalks to the high streets to what everyones thinking about a particular collection. With fashion changing for each season, year upon year, technology has to keep up and so is forever adapting to our needs! Can you believe that it can soon be possible to make purchases from your wrist with the new Apple i-watch?

Fashion Retailers are using technology to get their collections to mass audiences, but are coming up with different ways to keep their customers interested. For example, I recently visited Warehouse online and the used their model view option, to then select my own size to see a more realistic view on how a product would look on an average size 10. We all order loads online every year and probably take half back to finding the fit incorrect, so this was a massive plus for this retailer.

I love fashion and keeping up to date with new technologies, so when I came across a new app called StyleThief I was amazed at how the two were used together! StyleThief uses software from Cortexica which is the "worlds leading developer of image recognition and visual search technology!"
The technology that is supplied to the app, allows the user to snap a picture of either someone passing in the street, or from a magazine for example, and will then find a match or something similar to the style! You can tailor it to your needs to suit your size and budget!
This technology will literally be a takeover of fashion!
To give you some idea of how this will revolutionise the way in which we shop, retailers are snapping up Cortexica's software already, eBay launched "Snap and Find" within their eBay motors using Cortexica's  exact match technology, to help shoppers find exactly what they were looking for.

Heres some of my examples on using the app!

I used one of my pictures from instagram.

This is how the picture looks uploaded! You can select whether its a dress or top you are looking for.

Then the app will upload options based from the picture and material of the item! You can then sort through your preferences to suit your budget!

I love how this technology works and love the fact its a UK based company! Im a bit obsessive of reality shows and stars, such as the Kardashians, so using this technology I will be able to dress just like them!!! This app is one that will forever be on my iPhone and iPad, as who doesn't want to dress like their idols!

Let me know your thoughts on the app and whether you will be downloading StyleThief?!

Jewellery Designs With An Edge!

For me a piece of jewellery can change the whole appearance of an outfit! It can turn an outfit into something more glamorous by just the use of a statement necklace or stacking a few bracelets on your arm. I really love how wearing jewellery can make you feel!

Mika Altidor is a fabulous jewellery designer who studied fashion design at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Once graduated she spent some time with her sisters and from this came the name of her jewellery line, MMC jewellery. ( Three sisters, Mika, Maggie and Charlotte). Being creative, Mika started designing and then marketing her own brand!

Mika's jewellery collection started getting recognition from various different publications, such as Jet Magazine, Raine Magazine and Mode Lifestyle Magazine to name but a few. Excitement grew when her jewellery was then used on the catwalks at Miami Fashion Week, a great accomplishment for any designer!

Now I will share with you some of her fabulous designs!!!

This last picture, the model is wearing "Taken Control Statement Necklace" and this is my favourite!!! So much so, I had to purchase it!!!!

Heres my selfie!!!

MMC Jewelry really has some stunning pieces in its collection and I think you will agree! Let me know you thoughts on this fab collection!!!

You can find MMC Jewelry on the following social media sites:

A 90's Rewind Futurocks style!

Remember when you were like eight or nine and every sunday you used to sit next to your boom box and press record for the Top40 singles chart. Your mum or dad would shout to you upstairs to "turn the thing down" as they couldn't hear the tv, of course it had nothing to do with the fact that you were jumping up and down dancing in front of the mirror and banging too loudly on the floor! Well this is how I pretty much spent most of my sundays! I would be over the moan when the likes of the Spice Girls would hit number one, but when someone wouldn't get in the top ten I would have a face like thunder! What was worse still was when the radio presenter cut the song short or started speaking towards the end of a song before it had even finished! I mean annoyance!

So when Futurocks launched their new phone cases I couldn't wait to get my hands on a particular Chanel inspired tape cassette taking me back to my childhood days with an added glamour!

This really has to be one of my favourite new phone cases at the moment! Futurocks keep pulling out great styles, that my phone has never looked better!!!

Do you have anything that takes you back to your childhood?

Who's clothing? Young Teds, that is who!!!

Ok, so you are probably wondering who Young Ted is? YoungTed is an exciting t-shirt company that I have recently came across and instantly fell in love with. Working in retail you see trends come and go every season and then come back again in the new year. For me a t-shirt can be worn in two ways, one for everyday comfort or two to be added to a glamourous outfit to create an edge!

Young Ted Clothing that was only established in 2013 and is a brand that describes itself as;
" A clothing brand that aims to celebrate , in our own unique and subtle way those, memorable moments in British history, both past and present, that have shaped this great country of ours, and to pay homage to those British figures that have shaped our historical, cultural and sporting landscape. Oh and we get to put our funky logo on a tee in some cool colours and designs!"

And great funky designs is what they certainly give to you! Heres a selection of my favourite!

What's cool about this brand is the fact that men and women can wear the collection and dare I say it but xmas is coming up, and wouldn't these be a perfect gift! However Young Ted doesn't just do his and hers collections but also for the small people in your life! You guessed it, a Young Ted Kids range!

Having a three year old myself I love to find him clothes that not every one else is dressed in! Three or not his style has started early! And whats better is that these t-shirts get his seal of approval!

Intimately Next

This post is specifically for the NextLFWmodel Competition, which is to basically pick your favourite model and style an outfit suited for them from the Next website.
For me the choice of a model was an extremely hard task, I mean I could go for the obvious and pick the likes of Cara Delevinge, Jourdan Dunn or even Suki Waterhouse who are all fashion favourites of the moment, held in high esteem for their flawless and individual looks. However I wanted to pick a model who has a timeless beauty, whose striking looks stood out on any catwalk and would reflect the beauty of the Next range. To make women of any age, whether they be young or old, to want to buy the products and feel just as great. So I introduce to you my pick........

Alessandra Ambrosio

Now to style her!!!

Knowing the Next website pretty well, it was easy for me to navigate around and find exactly what I was looking for! Next is well known for its workwear and in more recent years designer inspired ranges straight from the catwalks. What I wanted to select for my particular model was Next's lingerie range which I personally feel doesn't get as much recognition as it should. With great price points and fabulous quality designs that look very expensive I wanted to showcase the range for how fabulous it really is. Here are my top picks.....

Black Glamour Lace Body £38   (670-197)
Pink Flower Jewel Necklace £28  (693-691)
Black Snake Effect Two Part Sandals £28 (680-730)

Lace Black Slip £25   (678-207)
Black Hold Ups £8.     (695-819)
Pointed Shoes    £28   (682-403)

Silk Mix Balcony Underwired Bra    £22    (683-461)
Silk Mix Thong                                  £9      (675-142)
Silk Mix Brazilian Brief                    £10    (683-471)
Platform Sandals                               £38     (690-974)

The reason I picked these particular sets, is because black lingerie is always a classic and sexy look, and adding in the berry Silk Mix range, well its this seasons hottest colour, so you don't just want to wear it on the outside!!!!!

Hope you like my picks!!!

Crushing on Street Vibes in Chester

Urban clothing store the "Style Hut", is opening its doors to the awaiting public in Chester this weekend bringing it's cool and edgy style back to the streets for this autumn. To help celebrate the launch their will be live entertainment and live music from the very talented SheBeat and Jonathan Coley! As well as competitions, goodie bags and offers on the day you really don't want to miss this event!
Unfortunately for me I have to work, so instead I have been browsing the Style Huts website to see the brands that are being stocked for the big event! Everything from tees, sweaters, shorts to accessories are available for both men and women, with stock being so versatile that gender doesn't count, its all about how you wear the piece and make it your own!

Here are some of my favourite pieces from the website, which you will also be able to buy in store!!!

The prints on these t-shirts are timeless and can be worn with skinny jeans or with one of this seasons biggest trends, the ripped jean. I personally like to wear a t-shirt with a skater skirt for a cute look and then to team it either with some boots or a pair of my new balance trainers!

The logo on the girls hoodie says, "Love is Love" and I'm in Love! We all have hoodies and sweaters in our closet so why not add this stylish one to your collection! I love the mens collection also, especially with the use of different textures and colours on the jackets to really create a trendy look!

For me accessories complete an outfit, whether it be a bag, hat , jewellery or sunglasses. There is a great range on offer at the Style Hut, and with summer coming to an end these beanie hats will be essential for the colder months ahead!!!!

Will you be joining the team in Chester for the launch?
In the meantime why not check out their website at www.stylehutuk.com.
Their Facebook page is www.facebook.com/stylehutchester
Twitter page www.twitter.com/stylehutchester
And finally their instagram is instagram.com/style_hut_uk

The Beauty Of Mara

Today I bring to you a stunning jewellery line which started its life in the picturesque Thailand, and lucky for us it has come to the UK where its now based. The handmade jewellery is carefully thought out with selected stones, beads and necklaces being picked to create special unique pieces!
What I really enjoy about this collection is the simplicity of each piece, and if you prefer a bolder look then the bracelets and necklaces are easily stackable. However, this isn't just a line for the ladies but there is also a line for the "Mini Mara's" in your life! Yep, you guessed right, if you have a little girl or younger sister, niece, cousin etc then she too can rock a piece of the beautiful jewellery and feel just as special as you will wearing it.

Here comes the fun bit....
I have been extremely lucky to be sent some items from the website, so I thought what better way to share with you lovely readers than on my blog!

These delightful packages came through my door today, safely packaged in recycled cardboard boxes, with the MARA logo firmly placed on the front and a tight cream bow to keep all in place. Once unravelled the treats came to life. Placed in either a cream organza bag or on a cardboard backing the jewellery really stood out! Ok so enough chatting here they are!!!

The AZHA necklace from the Midnight collection!

The ZIBAL bracelet from the Midnight collection!

The Flip Side bracelet from the Charmed Life collection.

The Back To Basics bracelet from the Charmed Life collection.

Over The Moon necklace from the Charmed Life collection.

Tapa bracelet from the Coast collection.

As you can see, these pieces really are simple and delicate, that will add to any outfit be it day time or evening. I love the fact that each piece has its own name and collection in which it belongs to, so depending on your style you can preference your search to that specific category. The website showcases the full and latest collections and is easy to navigate to and around.
Working with these collections, its hard for me not to be a massive fan of the jewellery line and was even harder selecting pieces to blog about as I literally wanted everything! I cant wait to start wearing these pieces and will be posting more pics with incorporating them into my everyday outfits, as these really are classic items that I will be wearing for a very long time.
